    Nature Facts Treasure Hunt

The Indigenous Open Gardens included an exciting Nature Facts Treasure Hunt aimed at all our young (and young-at-heart) visitors.

The day-long adventure was designed to entertain and educate – keeping curious minds busy while Mom and Dad enjoyed meandering around the stunning Indigenous Open Gardens.

The Nature Facts Treasure Hunt is aimed at children 12 and under but older children are welcome to participate.

How does the Nature Facts Treasure Hunt work?

The Kinship Programme has designed an interactive treasure hunt for children at the Kloof Indigenous Open Gardens show! Children will collect entry forms with maps (at the entry gate – R5/entry form). The maps contain points to find relevant clues in each of the gardens and piece them together at the end to make an environmentally meaningful sentence and to also build something very special.

Each garden is a “hunt” on its own with its own “kit to do at home” to be collect on completion of the “hunt” and it is not necessary to visit all the gardens to enter the hunt.

The event was exceptionally well attended and it was great to see all the children enjoying themselves,

The Nature Facts Treasure Hunt is part of our Back-to-Nature series of events aimed at our younger supporters.

The lucky draw took place on Wednesday 25 June and the winners are listed below – parents of the winners will be contacted to arrange collection/delivery. Apologies if there are any errors in the names – some were difficult to read!

Sincere thanks to our sponsors who made this possible
