Residents of Kloof are fortunate in that that there are numerous excellent nature reserves and walking trails all within a 15km radius from the center of Kloof.

These reserves offer some spectacular scenery, fascinating plant life, excellent birding and some interesting mammals, reptiles and amphibians for those with patience!

There are many walking trails ranging from short easy strolls to more challenging longer routes recommended for those with reasonable fitness.

A number of the reserves offer guided walks with local experts and these can turn an ordinary walk into an experience of discovery and knowledge and are all highly recommended.
