Kloof Conservancy Receives Ezemvelo Award

We were privileged when Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife acting CEO Bhekisisa Khoza presented the Kloof Conservancy their “External Award – Organisation/Group/NGO /Corporate” at a glittering function held at the Golden Horse Casino in Pietermaritzburg on Friday 10 November 2017.

The award was accepted by Vice-chairman Bruce Crouch who attended the function together with representatives of the Executive team and our outreach partners at Kwa-Ximba Conservancy.

We are very proud of this recognition by the conservation authorities of the work we do. Krantzkloof Nature Reserve is a critically important area of our operations and has always had a high priority in our plans since the inception of the conservancy in 1993. It is also pleasing to note the recognition by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife of the importance of our activities which look beyond the reserve as part of our holistic ecosystem approach. Quoting from the citation of the award:

“…..especially their intense outreach into communities and engagement with school children …….The dedicated activities of the Kloof Conservancy are a microcosm of the pivotal dynamics of 21st century conservation in South Africa”
